How to Breed Tiger Barbs? Beginner’s Guide to Breeding Tiger Barb Fish

Hey guys I know after you get intrest in tiger barbs you will curious to know how to breed them breeding tiger barb is not soo difficult but you need to follow some steps/conditions.

So let's get started

How to identify male and female in tiger barb
1. The fin rays and snout of male tiger barb have bright red colouration 
2. While the female have less colouration and have a plumper on their bellies 
So you are done with identifying the gender

Setting up a breeding tank for tiger barbs
1. Tiger barbs can't be breed in community tank u need to keep the breeding pair in seperate tank "they need privacy to"
2. There is only 1%chance of getting your tiger barb breed in community tank if you hiding spots for eggs to prevent them from eating by other fishes
3. But for successful breeding you need a seperate tank one tank for one pair. 
4. Add some gravel and plants in your breeding tank and a heater. 

Breeding Tiger Barb Fish
1. After selecting the male and female you want to breed release them in your breeding tank. 
2. And keep some patience be positive. 
3. 1 month can be enough to keep them in breeding tank if you see some eggs on any corner or hiding spot of your tank remove the pair immediately. 
4. As sometimes they became cannibalistic to. 
5. Remember tiger barb can lay 300 eggs sometimes

Feeding during the breeding period
1. Feed them with high protein diet like blood worms, frozen blood worms, shrimps etc. which has high protein content. 

Water parameters for breeding
1. ph should be around 6.0-8.0
2. Temperature must be around 26°C to 30°C

So there you are ready to breed tiger barbs at your home.
